Mari McCabe, known as Vixen, is a DC Comics superheroine whose powers derive from the Tantu Totem, an ancient artifact passed down through her family. This totem grants her the ability to channel the powers and abilities of any animal that has ever lived on Earth.
Vixen first appeared in Action Comics #521 (July 1981). Born in a small African village, Mari inherited the totem after her parents' tragic deaths. She initially used her powers to fight crime as a fashion model in New York City before fully embracing her destiny as a hero.
She has been a member of the Justice League, Suicide Squad, and Birds of Prey. Vixen's unique powerset and compelling backstory have made her a significant character in the DC Universe.
